Formerly known as Eolia, Harkness Memorial State Park is a 220-acre park listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The park includes a mansion with more than 40 rooms and gardens surrounding the mansion. There are 3 gardens in the vicinity of this Connecticut park - Italian, Oriental and Cutting Garden- and some greenhouses. The mansion is open for tours on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, from 10 am to 2 pm.
